Emma Stone Offered Lead Role in Pride and Prejudice and Zombies

The adaptation of the popular book has been bouncing around for a while. I personally haven’t read it (probably should…and I should probably get a Kindle), but as most of you know from last fall, I have an unusual attraction to zombie films. Emma Stone was offered the lead role of Elizabeth Bennett, and I think she’d be perfect for the mix of craziness that the title implies.

Men in Black III  Battling Through Production

Apparently, the woes for the upcoming film Men in Black III continue, according to The Wrap. Between budget issues, complete script re-writes and Will Smith’s diva behavior, the movie is still moving along, but painfully slow. Prinicipal photography is done, but apparently Will Smith is at the heart of a lot of the problems with production. His long list of issues include telling the studio to rebuild an entire set because it didn’t “look right” and improvising a scene, refusing to stick to the script, which in turn led to having to re-shoot another scene just for continuity. On top of that, he had a special trailer built for him that doubles as a gym and took up almost half a New York City block.

Props to whoever parallel parked that beast.

Tarantino Rounds Out Django Unchained with Jamie Foxx

The Wrap also is reporting that Jamie Foxx is going to play the title role of Django in Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming “spaghetti southern”, Django Unchained. He will be joining Christoph Waltz and Leonardo DiCaprio as well. Apparently, Will Smith was offered the role of Django, but based on that last article, I kind of think Smith and Tarantino would’ve butt heads. I think Foxx is the much better pick for this type of role.

Jon Hamm Signs on for 3 More Seasons of Mad Men

It is no secret that Mad Men is one of my favorite shows, I am really having trouble waiting for the next season to come out next Spring. However, this little piece of news gave me hope for the future, that for at least three more years Jon Hamm will be playing Don Draper. Which means that my life can continue to have a purpose, waiting for more Mad Men, for at least three more years. After it goes off the air, it will be a dark time for me.

Don Draper-esque dark times.

Hamm will receive $250K per episode, which seems like a lot, but he will be receiving 1/8th what Charlie Sheen did per episode of Two and a Half Men and actually doing a much better job.
