Opening This Week (15 July, 2011)

14 Jul

I apologize for the skimpy blogging recently. Pac and I have both been swamped with our alter egos, working and traveling. So, we are doing our best to write when we can. Right now, I crept out to a Starbucks, where according to Family Guy is a place where writers go to validate their existence as writers. There seem to be a lot here. I am only here because I didn’t have the password to the wireless where I was staying.

Anyway, this is where I tell you the movies coming out this week.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II

Rated: PG-13

Starring: Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, Ralph Fiennes

Director:David Yates

Synopsis from IMDB: The final chapter begins as Harry, Ron, and Hermione continue their quest of finding and destroying the Dark Lord’s three remaining Horcruxes, the magical items responsible for his immortality. But as the mystical Deathly Hallows are uncovered, and Voldemort finds out about their mission, the biggest battle begins and life as they know it will never be the same again.

Trailer:

Chris’ Take: At 96% on RT, which is very promising. I am really excited about the final installment of the franchise. I think it will be epic and unfortunately, I am stuck not being able to watch it until next week. Unless, I can finally convince my fiance to go see it while we’re on vacation…doubtful. Anyway, personal notes aside, nothing I’ve seen hints that this will be anything meet anything less than everyone’s high hopes.

Everything Else:

Since my battery is about to die, I will only list the other films coming out this week and link them to RottenTomatoes, since there really isn’t much else anyway.
